St. Peter’s CofE Academy is delighted to announce that the Section 8 Ofsted report from a visit made on 11 September 2017 has now been released.

It was confirmed that we are taking effective action to tackle the areas identified at the last Ofsted inspection, in order to become a ‘Good’ school.

The Principal would like to thank all of the staff, pupils and parents for another significant step on our journey to Outstanding.

Previous inspections

St. Peter’s Academy, is delighted to announce that, after an Ofsted inspection in early February 2017, it has successfully come out of ‘Special Measures’.

The inspectors spoke of a transformed school that now has a positive and ambitious culture, with teaching of very high quality and considerably improving progress rates.  

Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare has been graded as ‘Good’. The report confirmed behavior has improved significantly and that pupils are considerate and respectful.

The Principal would like to thank all of the staff, pupils and parents for a wonderful achievement, but appreciates that this is the first step in becoming an Outstanding school.
