Under 16 Boys football win again

The Year 11 Boys football team continued their unbeaten run in the league with a comprehensive 9.0 win over Thistley Hough Academy on Monday afternoon.

The impressive St Peter’s who are yet to concede a goal were impressive from the start, with Thistley Hough being camped in and around their own penalty box for most of the half.

St. Peter’s first corner from Lewis Ibbs saw Bartosz Abratanski head the ball home in his first start in 2 years. From that point, the St. Peter’s pressure was too much for Thistley Hough as the home side went into the break 4.0 up with further goals from Jack Bradbury (1) and Lewis Ibbs (2).

The second half was no different from the first with St. Peter’s throwing attack after attack at the away side with Lewis Ibbs securing his hat trick with another two second half goals (one of which was reminiscent of Gazza’s Euro 96 wonder goal against Scotland), Cameron Causley getting a brace and finally, Kash Gill sealing the emphatic win.

Very close for Man of the Match with captain Sonny Bates, bossing it all over the park, Halim Nadeem and Lucas Simpson solid at the back and Jack Bradbury/Dan Allen working tirelessly on the left but Lewis Ibbs with his 4 goals takes the honours this week.

Team:

Kyrece Gordon, Owen Sproston, Lucas Simpson, Halim Nadeem, Daniel Allen, Kash Gill, Lewis Ibbs, Jack Bradbury, Bartosz Abratanski, Sonny Bates (C), Cameron Causley, Luke Cliff & Liam Oldfield
