Year 7 Assembly - Stafford Gideons

On Monday 11th March we had the pleasure of welcoming Bruce and Peggy from the Gideons Bible Organisation into school to deliver an assembly to Year 7 students.

Each year representatives from the Gideons  kindly volunteer their time to visit us at St Peter's CofE Academy and gift each year 7 student with a New Testament Bible.

The Gideons do an amazing job throughout the country bringing hope and comfort to thousands of people.

Message from the Principal

When we have visitors to the Academy or our students are involved in an educational visit, I am always proud to hear and read the positive feedback. Students know that how they conduct themselves on educational visits or in assemblies is paramount to the ever-improving reputation we now have and will ultimately benefit them when they are applying for jobs.

Every week, we get positive feedback, such as the ones we got from the Moat House, Acton Trussell, the NHS, Stoke City FC and the Youth Sports Trust last week, but I was particularly pleased to get this from Stafford Gideons on Monday 11th March:

“First of all thank you for helping to arrange the visit from The Stafford Gideons to St. Peter's CofE Academy this morning.  It is always a pleasure and privilege to get invited back to the school on an annual basis.  We thoroughly enjoyed it.

As soon as we entered the building we were felt welcome by the students with smiles, greetings and offer of help with our trolley.  During the assembly the students were very attentive, well behaved, disciplined and interactive.  It is an indication to the tireless effort made by The Principal, the teachers and support staff in guiding the students’ behaviour, teaching them disciplines and create the safe environment for them to flourish, besides conveying them the knowledge they need in the present world.  I trust that the students benefited from our brief visit and it fitted in well with the schools’ Vision and Values.

Please pass our thanks to Mr Astley, the Principal and other teachers who were present this morning.  We look forward to coming back to the school in the near future.”
