Mental Health Awareness Week Monday 13th May to Friday 17th May

This year, Mental Health Awareness Week is focusing on negative body image.

Sadly many students feel ashamed, anxious and self-conscious about their bodies which can result in very poor mental health and wellbeing.. Concerns over body image tend to begin at a young age, often triggering feelings of depression and low self-esteem.

The Student Mental Health Ambassadors intend to raise awareness and offer support throughout the week and will be available to offer support in the atrium during lunchtimes. There will be information leaflets, various activities and items to purchase. Please support the event and bring some extra change.

Message from Mr Astley

St. Peter’s are in the midst of Mental Health Awareness week. Mrs Rubin and her team have been really pro-active and there is lots going on. We are at the forefront of raising mental health awareness in Stoke schools and I am meeting with local headteachers this week, who are looking at what we are doing here.
