Annual U13/U14 City Athletics Championships

Monday 17th June saw the annual U13/U14 City Athletics Championships take place at Northwood Stadium where 12 Academies from across the City battle it out to become City Champions.

St Peter's took along 34 Year 7 & 8 athletes who showed great endurance throughout the day and were a credit to the Academy.

If any student came in the top 3 in any event they were selected to represent the City of Stoke on Trent in the County Championships on 3rd July in Tamworth and St Peter's individual successes included:

Year 7

Kady-Leigh Day - Hurdles - 1st

Charlie Bradbury - 100m and 4 x 100m Relay - 3rd & 1st

Brian Kamgue-Kakanou - 4 x 100m Relay - 1st

Ethan Barnfield - 200m and 4 x 100m Relay - 1st & 1st

Luis Akyea - Hurdles - 1st

Mason Sherwin - Shot Putt - 1st

Year 8

Gilchris Tankui-Kakanou - Hurdles & Long Jump - 1st & 1st

Nabil Charley Mohammed - 1500m - 3rd

Justin Pickerill - Javelin - 1st

Each of the 4 teams were fantastic but it's the Year 7 Boys Team who take all the plaudits as they were crowned City Champions!
