Year 7 Live Lessons - BBC micro:bit

The BBC micro:bit, a pocket-sized codeable computer with motion detection, a built-in compass and Bluetooth technology, is being given free to every child in year 7 or equivalent across the UK. They are due to be despatched to St Peter’s Academy during April 2016. This initiative aims to inspire young people to get creative with digital and develop core skills in science, technology and engineering.

In preparation for this exciting initiative, three Year 7 classes took part in the BBC Micro:bit Live Lesson that was broadcast at 11am on Thursday, 24th March 2016. The students thoroughly enjoyed the live lesson and are very excited in anticipation of receiving their own Micro:Bit to code.
