Student Council

At the Academy the students are encouraged to have their say with the system of the Student Council. Aside from appointing the Head Boy and Head Girl for the Bucknall and Penkhull sites, we have also appointed senior prefects and prefects for both locations. There are also many more opportunities for students at all levels to take on leadership roles within the Academy.

The Academy Council is made up of representatives from each Chapter. Their responsibility is to gather the views of their fellow students and to set an agenda for discussion with the Principal. The Head Boys and Head Girls thus collate the agenda and lead the meeting. Students who would like to be a representative for their Chapter have the opportunity to apply at the beginning of each academic year when nominations are taken.
