Students of St. Peter’s CofE Academy achieved the best ever GCSE results, since the Academy opened. A higher percentage of students achieved a Grade 9-5 (strong pass) and a 9-4 (standard pass) in English and Mathematics. There was also a record percentage of students that achieved the English Baccalaureate, that includes English, Mathematics, 2 Sciences, History or Geography and French or Spanish.
Principal, Michael Astley reflected, “I am very proud of the achievements of the students and equally proud of the staff who put their own blood, sweat and tears into these excellent examination results. It is not luck that we have improved on last year’s results in all 10 of the DfE Headline/League Table measures and I wish the students all the very best as they move on to the next stage in their education.”
