‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand’ Isaiah 41:10

The core of the Church of England’s Vision for Education is underpinned by the belief that education should support human flourishing or ‘fullness of life’.  This should equip children and young people in their understanding of who they are, why they are here, what they desire and how they should live.  The vision also puts emphasis on a rounded education which should equip young people with strong foundations that will carry them through into adulthood.  At St Peter’s CofE Academy we believe that building strong emotional and mental health early in life can promote self-esteem, develop resilience and help students to overcome adversity.  This, in turn, will lead to students engaging positively with education, having enhanced future employment opportunities and being able to make positive life choices.
