Primary to Secondary Transition

At St Peter’s CofE Academy, we recognise that the move from primary to secondary school is an important and sometimes challenging milestone. Our transition programme is designed to ensure that every student feels confident, supported and ready to flourish within our Christian community.

Our Transition Programme

We offer a structured and supportive transition experience, including:

• Primary School Visits
  Staff visit feeder schools to meet students, building early relationships based on trust and reassurance.

• Transition Days
  Students experience life at St Peter’s, helping to build confidence and reduce anxiety about the move.

• Induction Evening for Parents and Carers
  An opportunity to share important information and work in partnership with families.

• Pastoral Support
  Students are supported by a dedicated tutor, Head of Year and Stident Development Officer, ensuring a consistent and caring point of contact.

• Enhanced Transition Support
  Additional provision for students who may benefit from a more personalised approach.
